June 2026 | The Infusion

What's Infusing in the Apothecary

Welcome to the very first issue of The Infusion - a slow letter from my apothecary, arriving in your inbox aligned with the month's full moon.

In each issue I'll share what's happening in the apothecary and shine a light on one product and the story behind it. Everything I make has a story, and it's time to share them with you.

Right now, the apothecary is busy in the best way. Botanical lip scrubs are in their final stages and almost ready to share, and two custom cleansing spray infusions are slowly coming together behind the scenes, each one a little labor of love. Stay close, because your shelves are about to get some beautiful new additions.

Grab your favorite drink and get cozy. This first issue is especially close to my heart, and I'm so glad you're here.

With intention,

Jillian

🌕 Full Moon in Sagittarius - May 31, 2026

A rare Blue Moon in Sagittarius graces our skies this weekend on Sunday, May 31. This powerful lunation invites truth, revelation, and liberating closure - a perfect moment to release and reset.

Botanical Bath Salts, The Origin Story

I made this for my body, now I make it for yours.

The Problem

I was in pain, and I needed something real.

I have fibromyalgia. If you know, you know - the bone-deep aching, the days when your own body feels like it's fighting you, the exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. I was searching for ways to care for myself that didn't involve adding more pharmaceuticals to the mix, things that could work gently alongside everything else I was doing.

I started looking at what I could do at home, with herbs, with minerals, with ritual. A bath felt like the most honest place to start - warm water, quietness, a few minutes that were entirely mine.

The Formulation

Research, intuition, and a lot of batches.

I dug into the research on magnesium and found what many people with fibromyalgia and chronic pain already know - that transdermal magnesium absorption through a warm bath can genuinely help ease muscle tension and nerve sensitivity. Magnesium flakes became the backbone of the formula.

Then I turned to the botanicals. Lavender and chamomile for their calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula for skin support and gentle healing. Rose for mood and antioxidants. Each ingredient was chosen deliberately, tested on my own body first, adjusted until the blend felt like it was actually doing something - not just smelling nice.

The Intention

For anyone who doesn't know where else to start.

These salts worked for me. Not as a cure, fibromyalgia doesn't have one, but as a genuine act of care for my body on the hard days. And when I started sharing them, I kept hearing from people who said something like: I've never really had a self-care routine, but this feels like something I could actually do.

That's who I make them for. People who are tired, or hurting, or just starting to figure out what it means to take care of themselves. You don't need a whole ritual practice. You just need warm water, twenty minutes, and something made with real ingredients and real intention.

The Ritual

Meeting you where you're at

When fibromyalgia flares, or when I'm just carrying too much, I run a warm bath and add a few generous scoops of botanical bath salts into a reusable tea bag. I turn off the big light, I light some candles, and I give myself at minimum twenty minutes and I try not to negotiate with that.

The magnesium works on the muscles. The botanicals work on the mind. And somewhere in the warmth, I remember that this - this act of choosing to care for myself - is not indulgent. It's necessary. I hope you'll let it be necessary for you too.

The Mineral That Changed Everything for Me

Magnesium is one of the most essential minerals in the human body, involved in over 300 biochemical processes, and yet most of us are chronically deficient in it. Research suggests that soaking in magnesium-rich water allows the mineral to be absorbed directly through the skin, where it can help ease muscle tension, calm the nervous system, and support better sleep.

For people living with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, anxiety, or general stress held in the body, magnesium flakes in a warm bath aren't a luxury. They're a necessary tool.
